An escaped bull sparked dramatic scenes in Huelva on Tuesday after panicked residents were forced to call in police.
The Policia Local of Almonte were quickly alerted and two patrols raced to the scene, where they confirmed the unusual and potentially dangerous sight.
Officers immediately prioritised securing the area to protect nearby residents.
Using a police vehicle as a barrier, they managed to steer the animal into an empty plot of land, where it could be safely contained while they tracked down its owner.
According to police, the bull escaped onto the street after a wall in its enclosure collapsed.
The owner later arrived and transferred the animal back to one of his own corrals.
Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported.
The episode ended as nothing more than a fright for neighbours.
