The region welcomed 1,422,707 international visitors last month, representing a 4.17% rise on October 2024, according to new data from Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE).

Their spending surged even faster, jumping 9.9% to an extraordinary €2.027 billion, the highest figure ever recorded for an October in Andalucia.

Each traveller spent an average of €183 per day, a slight dip of 2.01%, while the average stay remained steady at 7.8 days. Crucially, overall spend per person increased 5.54%, reaching €1,425.

Between January and October, Andalucia had already attracted almost 13 million foreign tourists, up 6.9%, with total expenditure soaring past €17.7 billion – a 9.02% increase year-on-year.

Brits continue to lead the charge

Nationally, the UK once again proved its weight in gold. British holidaymakers generated 17.9% of Spain’s total foreign tourism spend, rising 3.6% in October alone.

Andalucia remains one of their preferred destinations, and the strength of the British market continues to be a pillar of the regional economy.

In October, UK visitors also topped the national arrivals ranking with 1.8 million tourists and €2.202 billion in spending.

Germany followed with 1.2 million visitors (€1.612bn), while France delivered 1.1 million travellers and around €999 million in expenditure.

The most common trip duration was 4–7 nights, attracting 4.6 million visitors, a 1.6% annual rise.
