Marbella’s Policia Local has warned residents and business owners against fly-tipping following a surge in cases.
The force said dumping waste illegally is a ‘serious’ offence and warned would-be offenders of ‘significant fines’.
In a social media post, it shared photos of some of the recent offenders.
The force said: ‘The Marbella Local Police are conducting intensive surveillance to prevent and penalise the uncontrolled dumping of waste throughout the municipality.
‘Operations are focusing particularly on areas with the highest incidence, such as industrial parks and areas of greatest ecological damage.

‘Reports are being issued for infractions related to street cleaning, garbage collection times, and dumping, not only when detected by officers, but also thanks to the support of surveillance cameras installed at various points throughout the city.’
It added: ‘We remind citizens that throwing or abandoning waste in public areas or in places not authorised by the City Council is a serious offense and can result in significant fines.
‘Help keep our city clean. Together, we can make it happen.’
