The body of a 57-year-old man has been found floating in the port of Benalmadena.
The grisly discovery was made on the morning of Sunday, November 16.
The 112-Andalucía emergency services received a call at 8.45am from a resident, reporting a body floating in the water at dock 3 of Puerto Marina.
The 112 operators mobilised the 061 emergency medical service, the Guardia Civil, the Red Cross, Maritime Rescue, the National Police, and the Benalmádena Local Police.
The authorities have released no further information about the deceased.
The discovery came after a night of heavy rain and strong winds across Malaga province and Andalucia.
It is not known when the man fell into the water.
