Marblanc Solar, a Marbella-based solar energy company, has launched a giveaway offering a full solar installation, including all equipment, labour, permits, and servicing, at no cost to the winner.

The prize also includes a projected €100,000 in energy savings over the system’s 25-year lifespan.

‘We’ve seen other giveaways before, but never one this generous,’ said Roman Mitchell, co-owner of Marblanc Solar.

‘Our goal is to accelerate the adoption of solar across Andalucia, where only around 3.6% of homes are currently powered by the sun.’

The live draw will be held at 7pm on October 27, streamed on Marblanc Solar’s Facebook page.

What the prize includes

The winning property owner will receive a complete solar energy system worth up to €20,000. If the chosen system exceeds this amount, Marblanc will still cover the cost up to the €20k limit.

The package covers:

  • Solar panels and all core equipment
  • Installation labour
  • Legalisation and permits
  • Post-installation technical support
  • A virtual battery deal (free of charge)
  • Three years of annual servicing
  • A 25-year workmanship warranty
  • A dedicated WhatsApp line to speak directly with company co-owners

There are no hidden fees or fine print, but there is one condition.

What’s the catch?

Marblanc Solar will ask the winner to allow the company to document the project. That means filming the installation, tracking energy savings over 12 months, and recording a short video interview at the end of the first year.

‘It’s hard to get long-term feedback from our existing clients, even when they save hundreds of euros a year,’ said Adam Millington, Marblanc’s other co-owner.

‘We’re asking the winner to help us show others what going solar can actually look like.’

To qualify for the competition, applicants must meet three criteria:

  • Own a home

  • Agree to a free solar survey and follow-up presentation

The process involves two short site visits by Marblanc’s certified solar engineers, each under 30 minutes.

Entries close at midnight on October 22.
