Andalucia will bask in ‘unusually high’ temperatures over the coming weekend, meteorologists have said.
The stormy weather that hit parts of Spain in recent days is now easing, and the Spanish weather agency Aemet has issued its forecast for the coming days.
Conditions will generally stabilise, with sunshine and temperatures more typical of September than October.
Rain is only expected on Thursday along the Catalan coast and eastern Canary Islands, and on Saturday in the Cantabrian region.
Andalucia, largely unaffected by the storm, will enjoy clear skies and unusually high temperatures, more reminiscent of summer than autumn.
- Thursday: Sevilla 33C, Cordoba 31C, Huelva 30C, Almeria and Cadiz 28C, Jaen 26C, Malaga 25C.
- Friday: Sevilla 34C, Cordoba 32C, Granada and Huelva 30C, Jaen, Malaga, Cadiz and Almeria 27C.
Over the weekend, the warm weather will persist:
- Saturday: Sevilla 34C, Cordoba 33C, Huelva 32C, Granada and Malaga 31C, Almeria 29C, Jaen 28C, Cadiz 25C.
- Sunday: Similar values, with sunshine across the region.
Aemet spokesperson Ruben del Campo confirmed that temperatures will remain at 30–34C in most provincial capitals, making for a summer-like start to October in Andalucia.
