A British woman was left shaken after her husband was almost stabbed inside a restaurant in Estepona.

Footage shared online shows the moment a woman threatened a crowd of people in the centre of the Costa del Sol city on Sunday.

In the clip, uploaded to Instagram, a British woman can be heard saying: ‘She tried to stab my husband in the restaurant.’

The clip shows the woman threatening people in the heart of Estepona

The unknown woman, who appears to be holding a knife, can be seen running at people as they try to calm her down.

It is not clear what sparked the incident, or whether the woman was suffering from a mental health issue.

The Spanish Eye has contacted the police for comment.
