An 18-year-old has died in a head-on car collision on the Costa del Sol.
The horror crash took place on the A-356 near Velez-Malaga at around 12.30pm on Monday, and left three others injured.
The victim, who was travelling as a passenger in a car driven by his 20-year-old brother, was killed instantly when their vehicle collided with another car.
Emergency services confirmed that three people were taken to the Hospital de la Axarquia: the 20-year-old driver, a 71-year-old man and a 76-year-old man.
Firefighters had to cut one of the victims free from the wreckage.
How the crash happened
Early investigations suggest the car carrying the two brothers veered into the opposite lane on a bend, colliding head-on with the oncoming vehicle.
Traffic officers from the Guardia Civil, road maintenance crews and paramedics from 061 all attended the scene.
Second accident in less than 24 hours
The fatal smash comes less than a day after another accident in Arriate (Ronda), where four pedestrians were injured after being struck by a car on Avenida de Andalucia on Sunday evening.
Two of the victims – including a 26-year-old woman – were taken to the Hospital Serrania de Ronda for treatment.
