Brazen thieves are breaking into parked cars along the Costa del Sol, drivers have been warned.
There have been multiple reports of vehicle windows being smashed between Estepona and Fuengirola this week.
It comes amid the peak of the summer season, which typically brings a large number of criminals seeking to prey on tourists.
One victim in Estepona took to an expat forum on Sunday after his girlfriend’s car was broken into in El Paraiso.

He wrote: ‘Be careful out there. Today at 10.30am, my girlfriend’s car window was broken to steal her purse. This happened in the pharmacy parking lot near the highway in El Paraiso.
‘She went out for a minute to look at something in the store, came back, and found the car like this, literally was one minute.
‘This area became like this, but the police don’t seem to care. There were seven police officers at the station doing nothing when she went to file a complaint.
‘Clearly, they’re not going to do anything. Regarding the pharmacy, they’ve shown very little empathy. They have cameras and don’t want to cooperate.’
It comes just days after a warning was issued for residents in Fuengirola.

A photo uploaded by community page @fuengirolasequeja showed a black 4×4 with its passenger window destroyed.
The caption explained: In broad daylight, two car windows were broken to steal their belongings in the Cash and Carry parking lot. BE VERY CAREFUL!’
