This is the moment a vegan activist was punched in the face after storming a controversial bullfight in Mallorca.
The dramatic scenes were recorded at the Plaza de Toros in Inca on Sunday evening.
Footage shared with the Spanish Eye shows famed Dutch activist Peter Janssen jumping into the ring and removing his shirt before trying to make a run for the bull.
The self-described vegan streaker had the words ‘vegan strike group’ emblazoned on his back, and was quickly grappled by a group of guards.
They can be seen dragging him out of the arena with the help of the Guardia Civil.
One bodyguard can be seen punching Janssen directly in the face during the scuffle.
British expat Chris Halsey, who had arranged a protest outside the bullring earlier on Sunday, said Janssen was being kept in jail overnight.
He told the Spanish Eye tonight: ‘We’ve tried to get him out but we can’t, as he is in court tomorrow morning, but it doesn’t look good for him.
‘He was kicked and punched quite hard, but this is what happens over here for protesting, it’s crazy.’
The event, the second bullfight in Inca this year, sparked backlash after allowing more than 100 children to enter the bullring as spectators.
The Vegan Strike Group is an animal rights organisation that wants to end the suffering of all animals during bullfights, including bulls and horses.

At the international level, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child has urged countries to keep children under the age of 18 away from bullfights, specifically because of the horrific images of animal suffering.
Vegan Strike Group said: ‘Inca has ignored this call. By stopping the show with the victim dead in the background, the Vegan Strike Group wants to reach the public inside and outside the arena that bullfighting, and especially the exposure of children to it, must be stopped immediately.
