A 76-year-old woman has died during a family day out at the Terra Natura theme park in Murcia.
The unnamed visitor came into trouble while swimming in one of the water attractions on Sunday evening.
According to reports, the park’s security guard called the 112 emergency number at around 7.12pm.
He told the operator a woman was in cardiac arrest after having been pulled from the water.
Two doctors, lifeguards and a police officer desperately performed CPR with a defibrillator but were unable to save her life.

Further paramedics and an ambulance were called to the scene but she was pronounced dead at the park.
Terra Natura, in inland Murcia, is a nature park featuring animal enclosures, rides and a water park.
