An ‘adorable’ dog has been found abandoned in southern Spain with acid burns and 30 needles in his stomach.
Snoop, a doberman pup of just two years, was discovered ‘in the most appalling state’ by a local resident in La Linea.
According to local animal activist Daria Dubinina, he was rushed to a vet who treated him for ‘acid burns’ along his back and elsewhere on his body.
An x-ray then revealed he had swallowed 31 needles, which had to be removed surgically from his stomach.

Pictures shared by Dubinina online show the needles laid out on some kitchen towel after being extracted.
‘I have never seen anything so horrific,’ Dubinina said in an online post.
‘He is a gentle young Doberman boy, what he went through being just a baby, the pain, suffering, cruelty…I can’t continue, I’m sorry, it’s soul shattering…
‘It was reported to the local authorities and everyone involved in helping Snoop will fight for justice…’
The Spanish Eye has contacted the local police for comment.
It is not known if Snoop’s previous owners force fed him the needles or whether he ingested them after being abandoned.
It is not the first time dogs have been found with needles in their stomachs.

Dog walkers have, on multiple occassions, found sausages sabotaged with needles littered around Marbella, Estepona and elsewhere on the Costa del Sol.
In an update on Saturday, Dubanina said: ‘I’m absolutely overwhelmed yet again by so many kind people who donated and shared, we raised an incredible €730 for Snoop!
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
‘This poor boy has a long road ahead of him, but definitely a better future ahead filled with love and kindness. I will transfer all raised and post a receipt once done.’
