Head-on car crash sparks small wild fire in Estepona: Three people are injured

The collision occurred at around 8am on Saturday, in the Cartuja del Golf urbanisation.

Three people were injured in the crash

Three people have been injured in a head-on car crash in Estepona.

The collision occurred at around 8am on Saturday, in the Cartuja del Golf urbanisation.

The complex is home to a large number of British expats or property owners.

The crash sparked a fire that spread to 150sqm of surrounding vegetation, according to Malaga’s Provincial Fire Consortium.

Three people were injured in the crash

Firefighters from Malaga Provincial Council were sent to tackle the flames, which were brought under control relatively quickly.

The force later shared pictures of the operation on their social media channels.

The current state of the three people injured in the crash is not known.

They were taken to hospital to be treated for various injuries.
