A desperate appeal has been launched to find a US hiker who vanished while in Spain a week ago.
Cole Henderson, 27, missed his flight home on Sunday, July 13, after failing to return from a hike the preceding Wednesday.
The American was hiking alone in Torla, Huesca, in the Spanish Pyrenees, when he was last heard from.
His friend Max Senoff wrote in an online appeal: ‘My friend Cole Henderson, a 27-year-old American, missed his return flight on Sunday July 13…

‘No one has heard from him since Wednesday July 9 at 14:00 when he said via text that he parked his car in Torla, turned his phone on airplane mode, and began his hike.
‘His phone last pinged in Torla, and we believe he was hiking alone in Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park.
‘We don’t know his exact route, but we believe he may have entered the park from the Torla side. He was hiking the Pyrenees.’
Max said they believe he was using an orange backpack, which he is seen wearing in one of the two pictures shared.
He added: ‘We’ve reported him to the park authorities, emergency services/mountain rescue group, but we’re hoping someone here may have seen or heard something.’
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Guardia Civil on 062, or the 112 emergency hotline.
