This is the moment a British octogenarian was viciously robbed while walking through Mallorca this week.
The attack happened in broad daylight in the area of Cala Millor, on the eastern tip of the holiday island.
The suspect was pictured being placed into a police car following his swift arrest.
Footage of the assault showed the thug attacking the Briton from behind and trying to rob him.
He then runs away by drags the elderly man down to the ground in the process.
A woman, believed to have been walking with the victim, is then seen running over to him.
Son Servera City Council said in a statement: ‘We strongly condemn the act that was committed here in the centre of Cala Millor, where a young man robbed and attacked an elderly person…
‘Thanks to a special operation deployed in the area, it was possible to locate and arrest the perpetrator of the crime, who was transferred to a police station…
‘From the City Council we send a message of calm to all our neighbours, we continue working hard to guarantee the safety of our municipality.
‘We will spare no effort to keep Cala Millor as a safe place for everyone.’
