This is the last known photo of missing Scotsman Greg Monks taken just hours before he vanished from Portugal.

The 38-year-old has not been seen or heard from since disappearing from the party strip of Albufeira on Tuesday night.

Last known photo of Greg taken by one of his friends

An image shared by his family on social media shows him heading out for the night with friends.

The smiling holidaymaker is wearing a Navy Nike t-shirt while leaving his hotel to enjoy his pal’s stag do.

He had been staying at the Novochoro Apartments, a tourist apartment complex containing 31 units.

But in an ‘important update’ on Sunday night, his sister Jillian said he had been picked up on CCTV heading in opposite direction of his accommodation.

She said: ‘Greg has been seen on CCTV going further in the opposite direction of his accommodation.

‘This was still in early hours of Wednesday, nothing more recent… We need to share this to get to the people of this area to please look and hopefully once the police have done their searches to help search this area! Or any rescue assistance with drones etc.’

The area where he was last traced to is an upmarket neighbourhood filled with luxury villas.

It is also a 12-minute drive from the Novochorro apartments where Greg was staying.

It continues to be in the area of Cerro de Aguia, where Jillian said over the weekend that police were focusing their search.

She said: ‘As previously stated this is so unlike Greg and we are truly desperate for answers.

‘I am now seeking help from residents of the Cerro de Aguia area to please check any home cameras or doorbell footage between 2am and 5am, as police believe he was in the area around this time.’

She urged anyone with cameras that cover any part of the area to get in touch with her via Facebook, leaving their name and phone number.
