The body of a man has washed ashore on the Costa del Sol.
The grisly discovery was made on Malaga’s La Caleta beach on Sunday afternoon.
The authorities were alerted by the Beach Coordination Service at 3.17pm.
The 112 emergency hotline received reports of a lifeless body being brought in by the tide.
He had no ID or documents on his person.
Policia Nacional, local police and paramedics raced to the scene, but could do nothing more than confirm the man’s death.
No other details about the individual have been made public.
A photo shared by Instagram page @Fuengirolasequeja showed the moment the body was being prepared for removal from the shoreline.
