A two-year-old girl has died after suffering a fatal electric shock at a fairground in southeastern Spain, with three other children also injured in the incident.
The tragedy unfolded just after midnight on Sunday at the Alquerias feria in Murcia.
Emergency services were alerted when the toddler was found unconscious and bleeding from the nose after reportedly being electrocuted.
Paramedics from the 061 Emergency Health Service rushed to the scene, but despite desperate attempts to revive her with CPR, the girl was pronounced dead at 1.16am.
Three other minors – aged 8, 11, and 12 – also appeared to have been shocked, though they remained conscious and were not seriously injured. They were taken to hospital by relatives.
A 29-year-old woman, believed to be a bystander or relative, was also treated at the scene for a severe anxiety attack.
Local authorities are investigating the source of the electric current amid growing questions over safety conditions at the fair.
