This is the aftermath of a major fire that tore through the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina in Marbella.
The devastating blaze almost exactly a month ago left its entire fleet of electric buggies reduced to twisted metal.
The inferno broke out late on a Friday night into Saturday in a storage and charging area where the club keeps its golf carts.
Within minutes, flames ripped through the structure, engulfing dozens of vehicles parked inside.
By the time firefighters brought the inferno under control, around 100 buggies had been completely destroyed.
Battery charging area under scrutiny
While the exact cause has not been confirmed publicly, early indications pointed to the battery charging zone as the likely origin of the fire.

Electric buggy fleets – now standard across many golf clubs – are typically charged overnight in enclosed spaces, a factor investigators are now examining closely.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and managed to contain the fire before it spread to other parts of the historic club and no injuries were reported.
However, the financial impact is expected to be significant.
With each buggy valued at around €15,000, total losses could exceed €1 million, not including damage to the structure itself.
Founded in 1959, Guadalmina is one of the Costa del Sol’s most established golf clubs, with its North and South courses attracting players year-round.
