Spain has once again secured a place among the global coffee elite, with two cafés ranked in the Top 20 of The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2026 – including one on the Costa del Sol.
The second edition of the international ranking, unveiled at CoffeeFest Madrid 2026 at IFEMA, analysed more than 15,000 speciality coffee shops worldwide.
The list, which combines the votes of over 800 industry judges with more than 350,000 public votes, has quickly become one of the most anticipated announcements on the global coffee calendar.
This year, two Spanish cafés made the Top 20, while four featured in the overall Top 100.
Nomad Frutas Selectas (Barcelona) secured 16th place, while Hola Coffee Lagasca (Malaga) came in at 19th, placing both firmly among the world’s best speciality coffee destinations.
Nomad Frutas Selectas, located on Carrer de Pujades in Barcelona, is led by Jordi Mestre, one of Spain’s most internationally recognised baristas and founder of Nomad Coffee.

The project is known for its commitment to in-house roasting, sustainability and precision brewing. Its offering blends high-end speciality coffee with a fresh, balanced food menu in a functional, design-led space popular with locals and visiting coffee enthusiasts alike.
Meanwhile, Hola Coffee Lagasca – ranked 19th – represents Málaga on the global stage. Founded in 2016 by Pablo Caballero and Nolo Botana, the brand operates minimalist yet vibrant spaces and roasts its own beans. Known for its filter coffees and signature drinks, Hola Coffee also runs an academy dedicated to coffee education and even produces its own podcast focused on coffee culture.
