A teenager was stabbed in the stomach outside a nightclub in Estepona last weekend, it has emerged.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested by the Policia Nacional over the attack, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The victim, 19, is reported to be known to the alleged attacker, with whom he was arguing before being stabbed.
Police were called to Avenida del Carmen, where they found the youngster seriously injured.
Paramedics raced to the scene to stabilise him before he was transferred to the Hospital Costa del Sol in Marbella.
The Policia Nacional was quickly mobilised to hunt for the suspect.

He was eventually found on Calle San Roque, close to his home, where he was arrested.
Police sources cited by Diario Sur say the knife was found tossed a few metres from where the suspect was caught.
The victim has since been discharged from hospital as the injury he presented was not critical.
