‘Whatever you need, even a plate of food, whatever you are in need of.’

The news segment was shared by regional president Juanma Moreno, who said he was ‘very proud’ of his people.

‘This is Andalucia,’ he wrote, ‘thank you from my heart for the wave of solidarity. Once again, the Andalucia people have given a lesson in exemplary behaviour during a very difficult moment.

It comes after more than 11,000 people had to be evacuated from their homes in recent days due to flood and landslide risks.

The operations took place across Cadiz, Malaga, Cordoba and Jaen, where hundreds of homes have been severely flooded.

It means many have been left without clothes or food, leading locals from less affected areas to gather donations for them.
