Dozens of flights have been diverted from Malaga Airport due to the extreme weather affecting the region.
According to local reports, most of the diverted flights were arriving from European cities, while one was domestic.
At least one flight leaving Malaga for Dublin on Saturday night was cancelled.
Most aircraft were rerouted to Sevilla, Almeria and Granada, although one flight diverted to Madrid and two were redirected to Alicante.
The affected flights were travelling from Bristol, Brussels, Eindhoven, Karlsruhe, Milan, Stockholm Arlanda, Glasgow, and Oviedo.
One passenger, Kirsty Yeo, wrote on a Malaga group on Facebook: ‘My flight was diverted to Alicante due to the storm.
‘Ryanair couldn’t find enough coaches to transfer everyone and told the rest to find our own way.’
Georgia Mann fumed on X after her easyJet flight was diverted to Sevilla.
She wrote: ‘Absolutely awful customer service – currently stranded in Sevilla airport after being diverted on the way to Malaga with no information.
‘A red weather warning in Malaga so no travel advised and no hotels offered.’
Airport operations continue to be monitored as weather conditions remain unstable.
Anyone travelling to Malaga is urged to check the status of their flight.
