A body has been identified after being dumped on a rural road in Ronda on Sunday.
The corpse was discovered by a shepherd in Alpandeire, on a dirt track near the A-369 road.
Sources close to the investigation told La Opinion de Malaga that the victim is a Spanish citizen from the town of Puente Genil in Cordoba.
The sources added that the Guardia Civil is continuing its investigation to establish the cause of death, the people involved and the scene of the suspected murder.
All the evidence suggests the body was moved to the location where it was found.
The shepherd told police he has walked past the exact same spot earlier on Sunday and did not see the body.
Forensic experts confirmed that the victim had suffered multiple injuries.
Municipal sources had already indicated that the deceased was neither a resident of Alpandeire nor known in the area where the body was found.
