Police have revealed the deadly weapon allegedly used to by a teenage hitman to assassinate a gangland rival in Fuengirola last December.

Footage shared by the Policia Nacional shows the assault rifle being handled by a masked officer wearing gloves.

The clip comes two days after it emerged that a teenager from northern Europe had become Spain’s first child hitman to be accused of carrying out a bloody execution on the Costa del Sol.

The 17-year-old is suspected of gunning down a Dutch man in Fuengirola last December with an assault rifle in the middle of the street.

The victim was riddled with bullets just before 2am on Calle Asturias, a stone’s throw from the seafront. One shot to the head proved fatal.

Police later found shell casings scattered across the road and a rifle dumped under a parked car – believed to be the killers’ weapon.

Detectives believe two men were behind the ambush.

When their identities were confirmed, international arrest warrants were issued.

One of them, the teenage suspect, was tracked down and arrested in northern Europe.

Investigators say the boy fled Spain the day after the hit – allegedly pocketing a wad of cash for the murder.

The chilling case marks the first time Spain has confirmed an underage contract killer – a disturbing sign of how Europe’s crime gangs are increasingly grooming youngsters to pull the trigger.
