The victims were reportedly waiting for a bus when the attackers asked them for money, before attempting to rob them.

One of the men, aged 19, suffered a penetrating wound to the abdomen and was transferred to the Hospital Clinico in a serious condition.

An 18-year-old man was admitted to the same hospital, although his diagnosis is more favourable, with a superficial wound to his arm and leg.

Meanwhile, a third 19-year-old man, in a ‘potentially serious’ condition, was taken to the local 12 de Octubre Hospital after suffering a penetrating wound to his hip.

The three were transported in medical convoys escorted by the Municipal Police, while the National Police are investigating the attack.
