A young Irish woman was found dead inside a home on the Costa Blanca over the weekend, it has emerged.
The 24-year-old’s body was discovered by her partner at the property in Albatera on Saturday.
The Guardia Civil is investigating the death, with a natural cause being the main hypothesis, reports TodoAlicante.
Sources close to the case said the woman’s partner immediately dialled the 112 emergency number after making the tragic discovery.
Police officers and medical services were unable to do anything for the young woman, whose body was already lifeless.
The Irish Embassy in Spain has been informed of the incident and is prepared to provide assistance.
