This is the moment a jet ski came dangerously close to the shore in Fuengirola this week.

Footage shared on Instagram shows two people driving the vehicle at an incredibly high speed just metres from where children are playing.

The person who recorded the video claimed kids had been swimming the sea just moments earlier.

‘Good thing they weren’t there (anymore),’ they wrote, ‘A jet ski has come at full speed passing by the shore.

‘Where is the security, first responders and all this stuff? My goodness, what a danger!’

The footage, shared by @Fuengirolasequeja, was flooded with furious comments, with many branding the jet ski riders ‘idiots’.

Another said: ‘The official season doesn’t start until June 15, so outside of that period there is no permanent lifeguard service on the beach.

‘In cases like this, it is most appropriate to notify directly to the Civil Guard or Local Police, as they are the bodies responsible for acting in the face of such incidents outside of schedule and official vigilance season.’
