A British man is in a critical condition after falling from a hotel balcony in Marbella.
The 24-year-old plunged from the first floor of the Hard Rock Hotel in Nueva Andalucia, which is the equivalent of a typical third floor.
The horror incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, May 25, police sources told Diario Sur.
They added that the incident is being attributed to ‘alcohol consumption’.
The unnamed victim fell from the balcony of room in which three other young men were staying.
Following his fall, emergency services were immediately called to the scene and the holidaymakers was taken to the Costa del Sol hospital in a ‘critical condition’.
However, due to the seriousness of his injuries, he had to be transferred to the Malaga University Regional Hospital.
He remains in a serious condition after suffering multiple fractures to his skull, arms and legs.
The Brit has already undergone major surgery and is being closely monitored.
